Make AHS Your
Computers Home Page!
We recommend you use the most recent version of Internet Explorer or
Firefox. To download a free copy just click on their logo below:
To make http://www.ahs.org
the first page that appears when you open your browser each day follow
these simple steps:
Internet Explorer:
- Open the browser
- Select on the "top" menu bar the option "Tools"
- Select "internet Options"
- A new window will appear and open on the "general" tab
page.
- You will see a section called "Home Page" with the
following text: You can change which page to use for your home page.
- In the "Address" line, change the address that is there
currently to http://www.ahs.org
- In the bottom of the window select "Apply"
- Select "Ok"
- The window will go away.
- Look at your browser's tool bar, you will see an icon of a house
(home). Click on the house and you should be taken to http://www.ahs.org.
You are set!
Netscape Navigator
- Open the browser
- Select on the "top" menu bar the option "Edit"
- Select Preferences
- A new window will appear - in the left hand column - select
Navigator
- This will open the window on the right to the Home page start up
information.
- In the section that says: "When Navigator starts up,
display" select "Home Page"
- The next section is titled - Home Page and the text explains -
Clicking the home page button will take you to this page and then it
displays a "location" address. Replace whatever is
there with http://www.ahs.org
- Click OK
- Look at your browser's tool bar, you will see an icon of a house and
beside it should appear the word Home. Click on the house and
you should be taken to http://www.ahs.org.
You are set!
AOL Users
- Connect to AOL
- On the Settings menu on the AOL toolbar, click Preferences.
- In the Organization section of the Preferences window, click Internet Properties (WWW).
- In the Home Page section of the General tab, type http://www.ahs.org
- Making this change will not change the page you see when you click the Internet icon on the AOL toolbar. This icon links to AOL Keyword: Internet.
