Our Host, Denver Botanic Gardens

Denver Botanic Gardens is a botanically rich 23-acre urban oasis in the center of the Mile High City. One of the first botanic gardens in the United States to showcase native plants of the Great Plains, Rocky Mountain, and inter-mountain regions, DBG is a national leader for Western horticulture. Since its creation more than 55 years ago, the gardens have evolved to showcase one of the largest collections of plants from temperate continental regions. Today, DBG includes three satellite locations—Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield, a 750-acre native plant refuge in Littleton; Mount Goliath, a high-altitude trail and interpretive site filled with alpine wildflowers on the Mount Evans Scenic Byway; and Centennial Gardens, a five-acre formal garden in downtown .
