The American Horticultural Society is a non-profit organization that relies on donations from its members and friends. Membership dues account for only a portion of our annual expenses, so we need additional contributions to continue
the many programs that bring the world of gardening to people across the country.

All donations to the AHS are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. To make a donation or get more information about any of the options below, please contact the AHS development office at (703) 768-5700 ext. 125 or email development@ahs.org.

Ways you can make a difference by donating to the American Horticultural Society:

• Annual Fund
  
  Gifts to the AHS annual fund are vital to the operation of our programs that encourage gardening. Your donation helps support AHS operations and programs including Garden Schools, the National Children & Youth Garden Symposium, online seminars, and the intern program at River Farm. Every dollar makes a difference!

• Commemorative and Memorial Gifts
  
  Honor the anniversary, birthday, recent achievement, or memory of a loved one with a gift to the AHS. An attractive note is sent to the individual being honored or their family to identify the donor, but the amount of the gift is kept confidential.
  
  

• Matching Gifts
  
  Your company may be able to double the amount of your gift to the AHS through a corporate matching gift program. Please contact your human resources representative to see if your employer provides the opportunity for matching gifts.
  
  

• Planned Giving
